Hilary Duff is easily one of the most prominent celebrities in the world right now, having accomplished almost as much as any entertainer can hope to achieve. Starting from being a child star, Duff has come a long way in the world of entertainment, both movies and music and has also crafted an avid fanbase across the world.

There have often been talks among Hilary Duff fans about whether is there anything that the actress cannot do. It seems that the 36-year-old has done it all and she still has time to do so much more.

1) Hilary Duff single-handedly saved Hollywood Records in 2003

After her first Christmas album in 2002, Santa Claus Lane, Duff decided to make a pop record and enlisted the help of Hollywood Records, who were going through a slump at that point.

Duff’s album, Metamorphosis, went on to become hugely successful, topping the Billboard 200 chart and earning a 4× Platinum certification, which was enough to turn Hollywood Records’ fortune around.


2) Hilary Duff is perhaps as good an author as she is an actor

While many would only associate Duff with the entertainment world, her contribution to the literature world is no less significant. She initially co-authored Elixir (2010), which became a New York Times best-seller. Because of the book’s success, Duff and Elise Allen continued with two more books, completing a trilogy.


3) Hilary Duff has hyperactive ADHD from a very young age, and her treatment continues

Duff was reportedly diagnosed with hyperactive ADHD at an early age. She has taken medication for this throughout her life and is still continuing it. Hyperactive ADHD is a common disorder in children that sometimes continues into adulthood, like the case of Duff.

It is described by Mayoclinic as:

“Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior.”


4) Duff was followed by a stalker till she confronted him

As revealed by the actress on her social media platform, she was once stalked by a man who seemingly followed her everywhere. The stalker was allegedly following her and taking her photographs. She had to eventually confront him about the same.

She wrote on her Instagram at the time:

“This guy has been at my son’s soccer game this morning then followed me to my sister’s house and was basically parked in her driveway to get photos. Followed me to run errands. I politely asked him to let me be and he continues to follow and stalk me down like pray for hours now. This is not ok. I am 9 months pregnant.”


5) Hilary Duff has been featured in several videogames

Among her other appearances, Duff’s likeness has also appeared in multiple videogames. She was featured in three Lizzie Maguire games, as well as in Sims: Pets, where her dog was also featured.
