Sabrina Carpenter is currently on her Short n’ Sweet tour. However, there have been claims about the singer not singing live during her tour concerts. In a TikTok video, someone posted a video of the singer singing Please Please Please wherein she takes a spin and keeps the mic away for a second while the track continues to play behind her.

The TikTok user alleged that Sabrina’s concerts are 30% lip-syncing, 30% backing track, and 40% singing. Sharing the same, another TikTok user questioned if Sabrina ever sings live. However, Sabrina Carpenter addressed these allegations and commented on the TikTok post stating:

“I sing live every show 100% would you like to speak to my audio engineers.”

“Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?” – Sabrina Carpenter comments on Feather video playing a role in Eric Adams’ indictment

On September 29, 2024, Sabrina Carpenter performed at Madison Square Garden in New York wherein fans informed her about the news that New York Mayor Eric Adams had pleaded not guilty to the five felony charges against him. Charges against Eric Adams comprised conspiracy, wire fraud and bribery, because officials accused him of taking over $100,000 in illegal gifts for allegedly helping the government of Turkey.

As per a video from Sabrina’s New York concert, the singer is seen responding to the news by stating:

“Damn, what now? Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted?”

The connection between Sabrina and Eric Adams’ indictment stems from her Feather video which was shot in Brooklyn’s Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish Church in Williamsburg. The video led to the church’s leader Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello getting demoted and being relieved of his administrative duties because he approved the shooting of Sabrina’s video.

After Sabrina’s video brought Gigantiello’s name into the limelight, federal investigators looked into the relationship between Gigantiello and Frank Carone who was Eric Adams’ former chief of staff. Additionally, federal investigators also subpoenaed the church to seek information about any possible business or financial ties between Frank Carone and the priest which was allegedly tied to the shooting of Sabrina Carpenter’s video as per Billboard.

Commenting on the same, the church’s diocese officials mentioned in a statement:

“It would be inappropriate to comment further on that review, which is still ongoing. The Diocese is fully committed to cooperating with law enforcement in all investigations, including conduct at individual parishes or involving any priest.”

In other news, Sabrina Carpenter is currently on her first arena tour and fifth concert tour following her studio album Short n’ Sweet. The Espresso singer’s tour began in Columbus, United States on September 23, 2024, and is et to end in Milan, Italy on March 26, 2025.

Additionally, Sabrina also made headlines when she skipped the Nonsense outro during the first concert of the Short n’ Sweet tour. While fans of the singer and multiple publications reached out to Sabrina to ask if she would be discontinuing the outros, the singer hasn’t commented on the same yet.
